The lost of breeding places on the buildings is possibly one of the reasons of the decline of this species in many countries.

Swift Conservation is an active organisation leaded by  Edward Mayer. The site provides all kinds of information to facilitate breeding places to the swifts (boxes, next integration on the buildings, ...). This organisation, with the support of Gillian Westray, works actively in the improvement of a better knowledge of hand-rearing and rehabilitation techniques in rescue centres around UK.

Concern for Swifts is a project focusing on the conservation of the Common Swift breeding sites conducted in different european countries.
